My sweet girls....

Here are the latest pictures of our girls. We get a great gift from Lee's parents for each baby for four photo sessions with a family friend. And it is one of our favorite things to see.... an email from Emmie saying our proofs are ready! Each time we go for pictures she is great at picking up on personalities and little faces our girls make that definitely make them, well, them! This last time we had a few of all three together, and then some of each girl. With Thanksgiving around the corner, these little girls I have been blessed with are my proudest things. They are nuts, sweet, handfuls, lovable, and all ours. Enjoy the link below. (Also, Emmie has a way of picking really great songs to accompany the proofs. You know that Subaru commercial with the high school reunion couple and that cool song that plays? Well, everytime I see it I want a Subaru. And on that note, you can only imagine what our bill is for our photo order).

Boo to You!

We had a great Halloween this year with our super heroes! In usual fashion, we got our pre tricking meal scarfed down, and hit the streets for fun! This year we had a hayride with our neighbors, family, and a few friends. The girls had a blast!

The Big Four"s"

It is hard to believe, but Camille has hit the big fourth month of her little life!
And no, you haven't skipped over month three, I just never had her in a white onesie to do that cute little sticker on. Anyway, I got the fourth month sticker done, so I am just happy about that. Camille is now 14 pounds 11 ounces, is holding her little head up like a champ and loving watching her big sisters entertain her. She smiles a huge grin when she is happy, and has a fabulous pouty lip when she is sad. She just started eating a little food this week. She hates rice cereal with a passion, so we skipped over to apples. She is tolerating them better than the cereal.

See all that drool around her neck? We now know the culprit of that mess.... she broke a tooth through Wednesday! I knew something had to come soon with some of the fussiness we have had lately, and as I was playing with her the other day I felt it and squealed. Camille looked SO proud of herself for making her little tooth. She knew she had done something big!

This picture is about the best I can do to get a shot of all three girls. One is usually tugging on Camille, one is usually reading to her, and she is usually bobbing her head between the two. We go for our first photography session this Saturday, so I can wait to see someone work their magic on these girls!

There was also another big FOUR birthday last week. My sister turned Forty! And we actually pulled off a surprise party for her, complete with babysitters for kids. I am shocked we managed that, but it was fun to get out with our family and get first pick of birthday cake! (You will notice Camille got to tag along.... she wasn't ready to be thrown in the mix with big sisters, big cousins, and no mommy!)

The depths of loving, as told by little girls

Lately the girls have been showing how much they LOVE me. They start telling me they love me, then they add little phrases, and those phrases get mixed up with their other phrases, and it just gets silly.

Here is an example: Last week Sophie told me she loved me so much, as far as to the moon. So, Harper started telling me she loved me AND the moon. So then Harper told me she loved me to New York City, which led to a plane ride love and clouds.

So with five days passing since our quest to "out love mommy" from the girls, tonight I was told by Harper a HUGE love phrase- "Mommy, I love you past the scary witch woods in New York by baby God in a cradle with a moon."

My Three Year Old!

Harper is officially three now! She turned three Thursday amidst a week-ending of fun festivities! We had our traditional Birthday breakfast and present fun, school party, grilling out at night, her Little Gym party with family and friends, and topped it all off with a trip to the Baldwin County Fair! Whew!

Here are Harper and her BFF/Cousin William. They take Little Gym class together and love it so much we had their party there. William is a week younger than Harper, so it worked out great! Except for a few tantrums from Harper b/c a candle was blown out before she was ready, it was a ball! Their little preschool friends were so cute, and it was a successful first party with friends.

The other day we realized we had taken no great pictures on our camera of our family of FIVE! So, here is our first attempt:

This is Harper and I at her party at school. She asked for Rapunzel decor for her special snack time at school. It was really fun to see her with her teacher, Miss CeCe.

Harper is such a special little girl. Ever heard that poem about Nora who had a curl on her head and when she was good she was very very good and when she was bad she was horrid? yeah.... Harper makes me laugh when she wants me to. She has the funniest faces, and thinks funny and acts funny, or she can be the most determined child. She likes things that twirl and touch the ground, and thinks if we aren't in dresses we aren't a princess. She knows all the words to every song from Sound of Music, and loves to act and dance, but only on her terms. She is going to be the child that teaches Lee and I a lot about parenting! We love our little Harper, and can't WAIT to see what she sets her mind to be!

Making it to the Cool Club

So yesterday morning we really were running low on groceries. It is crazy we used to go every two weeks between grocery store runs, but now if I don't go twice a week we coast in on no juice or milk and the "B" pile of snacks. Anyway, both girls had school, and her I was, late at night, trying to come up with something filling and edible they would like. I found some Cocoa puffs, pretzel rods, and marshmallows and made a trail mix.

When Sophie got off the bus she ran to me and gave a big hug and said she had the BEST snack. She wanted to know HOW I knew that packing "sticks" with things to put ON the sticks. Apparently sticking marshmallows and Cocoa Puffs is a very cool thing to do at snack time. But I got the best response a mommy can get... "Mommy, I don't know how you know to send cool snacks, but I am glad you do. Thanks a lot."

Getting Normal...

See this sleepy little girl, all fuzzy from an Iphone picture? This hasn't happened much lately. This was actually at 5:30 at night, and was her first time to stop on this particular day.

Life is in FULL swing right now. Between school, trips, activities, church, and playtime we are exhausted! Add on pink eye and some crazy trips to get Sophie from school because of BIZARRO sickness, we are tired! But, it is fun. Our new normal!

No crazy news lately in our world. The few who follow this blog have emailed lately to see if we dropped off the world. I will try to do a better job of keeping up with our little life for old friends!

I even updated my other blog, Naptime Hobby! I have been wanting to sew several things lately, so I am making myself sit down and get some cute things done for family and friends. Of course, our naps are slowly fleeting (see above picture of Harper), but Camille is my little sidekick and even if she is awake she is happy if she hears my noise. Thank goodness for that!
