A Baptism to Remember

Sunday was a special day for our sweet family. Camille was baptized! It was a special day for so many reasons. It was our probably final use of this beautiful dress my family has used for two generations of cousins. Most of our family got to be there, even during the busy Christmas season. The big sisters got to sing with their choirs before our moment. I got a new hair do from the flames of candles. Oh? Did you miss that last sentence? My HAIR caught on FIRE during her special time! They gave us a memory candle to light on the anniversary of her baptism, her birthday, etc. As I glanced over to look at our happy baby, who was loving her time in the spotlight, the candle caught the end of my hair and quickly singed some new layers in my hair. Luckily, Lee saw it and grabbed my hair before major damage occured. If you know me, major damage already occurred because I was SO tickled and couldn't stop laughing.

Other than THAT episode, it was such a sweet time. Below are a few moments of the day....

This is our family with Rev. Debra Bishop, who performed the baptism. She came to the hospital the day after Camille was born and had the best prayer ever. Seriously, if you have a baby, call Debra. She will get that baby covered!

Her beautiful cake!

After lunch we had all our cousins together, so we headed to see Santa and play around the big Christmas tree.
