This year June is even more special. Even though it has been record breaking heat, I have tried my hardest to enjoy every day doing summer stuff with my girls. It is so much fun to see them enjoy summer things I used to love, even though I waddle behind most of the time hoping not to look too hilarious in my one comfy dress. And that is why this June is special... in less than one week we will have a COMPLETE family with the new baby! By June 16th we should have a little Camille or Baby Si joining our ranks. After a 4D ultrasound last week, I think every other member of my family is now fully aware that there is a baby coming VERY soon. But, before "it" gets here, here are a few of my favorite shots of our past two weeks!
The mall right near our house has a wonderful draw to kids and moms alike... a Splash Pad, located right by Gymboree, Victoria's Secret, and Pottery Barn! What more could we ask for! The girls have absolutely LOVED visiting the fountains. Last night we headed for a quick visit before supper and stayed for over two hours! When we don't have time (or energy) to load up for a dip in the YMCA pool, the Splash Pad is the perfect alternative.
Art in the Park has also been a fun thing to visit. It is a park, mostly shaded, where groups of different people bring art, animals, balloons, and jumpy things for kids to explore... all FREE! The girls are fans of art projects, and well, everything at Art in the Park! Our first visit my parents tagged along and Poppa and the girls to a ride in the train!

And although visits will be few and far between once it turns brutally hot, who can beat a trip to the park? We have to go early, but we have a ball exploring the "fort". This picture is actually my first attempt of an action shot of our new camera. Our old camera was getting quite out of date and not working well, so we stepped up our camera before baby comes. And with my current two children, I needed the "action" mode on a camera!
I am sure in the next few weeks June will be even more fun for all of us. Stay tuned for some exciting news by next week!
